​I became interested in photography in my late teens - although I didn't realise how much enjoyment I would get from it until later in life.  Photography has allowed me the opportunity to appreciate the landscape of New Zealand and the natural beauty of its coastlines, forests, rivers and mountains.  It has also guided me to spectacular places during overseas travels.

Getting out early for a coastal sunrise or trekking through bush and stumbling across random scenes of tranquility and beauty provide a counterpoint to the often hectic nature of everyday life.  Encouraging (some would say badgering) family and friends into joining me on some of my photography sojourns has had the added pleasure that comes from discovering objects of interest from others' viewpoints.
 

A self-taught photographer, I make no pretense that the work displayed in this website is anything more than a record of various journeys over my life and the creations of an enthusiastic amateur & continuous learner. 

My thanks to family and friends who encouraged me set up this website to share my photography and hopefully give others some pleasure from its content.
